Message from Xanthe Naylor – Circulation Festival

Circulation is a Dunedin based circus festival that takes place over 4 days in November. It's jammed packed with workshops, play times, music, dance, delicious food, laughter, and FIRE!

The festival has been running for over 10 years and the team heading Circulation has changed many times since the beginning. Currently Circulation Community Inc. is run by Xanthe Naylor, Keir Russell, Tania Bracey Brown, and Josh Smith.

This year the team has also taken on the Wellington based festival Under the Spinfluence as the previous crew needed to move on the from the event, we hope to bring together the two festivals by sharing resources, performers, and crew.

The grand scheme is to connect the two festivals via a circus tour up the country to help support the performers who are coming to both festivals. Circulation is on the 8-12th of November, Under the Spinfluence is held on the 14-17th of December. We plan to tour from Dunedin to Wellington over several weeks, stopping in Wanaka, Christchurch, Nelson and places in-between for shows, busking and workshops. We hope to have several international performers join us on the tour, as well as many New Zealand performers.

Circulation Community Inc. will be ready for applications around about mid-March and will be actively starting to put out feelers for performers, workshop teachers and volunteers.
