We are an association of circus practitioners representing artists, organisations, teachers, enthusiasts and ...clowns!

Nau mai haere mai ki ANZCA.

Welcome all, to ANZCA.

What is ANZCA about?
He aha te mea ANZCA?
Latest news from the blog!
Nga rongo hou mai i te rangitaki!

ANZCA was formed with the vision of fostering circus in Aotearoa at all levels. We want to raise the standards of professional and community circus, advocate for the rights of community groups and artists, grow opportunities for funding and increase the recognition of circus as a distinct and vibrant art form. ANZCA intends to connect community groups and professional artists around the country through a regular newsletter, online circus directory, public events and more services to come.

We live, breathe and love circus. We want to encourage the sector to flourish and produce high quality art, entertainment and to continue to enrich the lives of people around Aotearoa.

We have formed a community driven organisation - consulting with community as widely as possible to find out what YOU want YOUR circus association to work on. Please complete the survey here to have your say.

Welcome to our website, welcome to ANZCA.

Live Interviews with Industry Leaders - Nga uiui me nga urungi

ANZCA is launching a series of live interviews with industry leaders (since they're sitting still for once). Our first interviewee is Nick Creech, a broadly experienced technical rigger. This is an opportunity to hang out, ask questions, and learn about different facets of our industry from the pros.

Nick will be going live on the ANZCA facebook page at 4pm on Tuesday 31st. Comment your questions for Nick on the facebook post, or fire them at him in the live chat on Tuesday.

If you don’t know him already, Nick is a Wellington based rigger who has held positions with some of New Zealand's largest productions/festivals including ‘World of Wearable Art’ and ‘NZ Festival.’ Familiar to the titles of ‘‘Technical Director’ and ‘Production Manager, he was with Cirque du Soleil for more than 12 years as a rigger and head rigger was most recently held the role of Cirque's senior rigging trainer.

See you at 4pm on Tuesday!
